Daniela Dominique. Daniela is a Mexican born living in Berlin, who is passionate about traveling and seeing the world through her eyes. The Wild Model is a laid-back individual with a unique approach to life, as you will recognize in this interview. Throughout her career, Daniela has graced the covers of print & online magazines, including Haper's Bazaar, Vogue, Alter, Elle, Schon, Highsnobiety, and undoubtedly walked for shows during fashion week in Berlin, Milan, New York, Paris, and London. Time to get to know a little bit about this fun and full life model, Daniela.
ROUGH: Can you tell ROUGH a bit about yourself?DANIELA: I’m Mexican from Tijuana , I live in Berlin and I love to take adventures to new places and see some beautiful landscape or nature with deep conversations , I love the beach but in the city I enjoy my time with my friends making something creative specially in the topic of art. I love the mix of cultures of the world and I find life very exciting and I believe life gets better.
ROUGH: What made you first become a model? DANIELA: I saw modeling as the chance to travel for work , and traveling is my passion so I thought this could work .
ROUGH: What are some of the perceived misconceptions about models and have you had any experience?
DANIELA:
That we have it all easy just because we are good looking , to make a career it’s a lot of work includes being your own partner , making your network grow in all the city’s and jobs you work and a lot of discipline not everybody is able to change or adapt to all the different environments or situations you are mostly alone . So I think is a multitasking job not suit for everybody especially if you just think being pretty is enough .
ROUGH: And before you became a model what was the preconception about the industry you had in mind and have they changed or still remain the same?
DANIELA:
I didn’t think life is faster in this profession , but I guess time flys when you are having a good time.
ROUGH: What are your goals as a model? Tell us some of the goals you've set and achieved it?
DANIELA: To work with Tim burton in some movie or anything I’m a big fan.
One of my goals was to do all the fashion weeks in the big capitals and to live in Europe , so far I have made this part of my dreams come true.
ROUGH: Tell us your experience so far as a model?
DANIELA : It’s become a big part of my life has given me the chance to go to amazing places and live experiences that in no other way I could have done it I feel . Modeling has shown me how hard some people work and how things come together when everybody is good at what there doing . I have been very lucky in all my career to work with professionals and Im very grateful to be part of this creative world.
ROUGH: What is your perfect day for relaxation when you are not modelling?
DANIELA :
Go some place where I can walk barefoot and listen to good music , mostly I go to nature or take a walk during the sunset time.
ROUGH: Describe your daily beauty routine.
DANIELA : I drink a cup of warm water with lime , then I drink my vitamins. I take a shower and was my face sometimes I exfoliate , then I apply my creams ,sunscreen , curl my eyelashes and that’s it .
ROUGH :What do you look forward to doing post-covid19 and what things are going to do differently in future as a model?
DANIELA
: To see my family back home , I think. Traveling is gonna be different not as easy as it used to be , but I can adapt easy aslong it keeps me being productive and finding new ways to create .
ROUGH: Lastly, as being part of 'ROUGH YOUNG THING' what does the meaning of 'young' means to you?
DANIELA : Is the careless , easy going stress free spirit that we should never give up or control . Stay wild
