Every week ROUGH ONLINE in collaboration with Music News and Liberty Music looks at the best new releases from emerging and self-releasing artists. See more from below.

Hazlett – ‘Monsters’
Following on from the rousing success of his previous singles ‘Suncats’ and ‘Fireworks’, Australian singer and songwriter Hazlett now looks to continue his bright and euphoric sound with this gloriously uplifting ‘Monsters’. Lifted from his forthcoming new EP, which is set to arrive next year, ‘Monsters’ mixes the bold indie-rock direction of his past with a sublime and upbeat chorus, which guarantees to put a smile on anyone’s face.

D’Melo – ‘Faithful’
Growing up as the son of Nigerian parents in the east end of London has given rapper D’Melo a usually unseen perspective in today’s music industry as he now returns with his latest single ‘Faithful’. Lifted from his upcoming debut EP ‘Since When’, this new offering plays around with the expected stereotypes of men in a loving relationship as he plans to bring a whole new vibe to the bustling urban sound.

BIBC – ‘Circles’
Originally growing up in Stockholm surrounded with his father’s music collection of Koffi Olomide, Phil Collins and Sade records, the young artist BIBC (short for Born In Between Colours) has since decamped to London to pursue with love of lo-fi hip-hop as he delivers his new single ‘Plane Crash’. Coupled with the beautifully laid-back vocals of Parisian singer Helma, this new jam skirts the line between hip-hop and RnB, regularly adopting a smooth and sensual aesthetic that reflects his own personality and direction.

Prime Sinister – ‘Prime Time’
Following on from the praise and success of his debut album ‘Riot Gear For The Soul’, London-based rapper Prime Sinister now looks to get us ready for his highly anticipated follow-up ‘Patient Zero’ with the heavy and impactful ‘Prime Time’. Inspired by the eruption of grime and UK hip-hop in the mid 00s, this new release couples pounding percussion with quick-fire flows that gives us a taste of what we can expect on his next full-length.

MOTH – ‘Waste Of Time’
As a band known for merging the sounds of hip-hop, reggae and psych-rock, Brighton’s MOTH have quickly found themselves the talk of their local indie scene. And with an already impressive catalogue to their name, the five-piece now return with their latest offering ‘Waste Of Time’. As the grandson of famous Scottish poet Stanley Robertson, singer Joel brings the same storytelling inspiration as his grandfather to deliver a bold and vibrant new single, with nods to Bastille.

Ay Wing – ‘Orange Dreamer’
Having already piqued the interest of publications such as EARMILK, Stereofox, Clash Magazine and Dummy Mag these last few months, Swiss-born but Berlin-based singer and producer Ay Wing now returns with her latest endeavour ‘Orange Dreamer’. Collaborating alongside US rapper Chuuwee, her newest cut channels the same vibrant flow as Glass Animals to create this warped yet warming new release.

Miggy Milla – ‘Toxic’
With his previously unveiled singles ‘Pretty Stranger’ and ‘Tragedy’ giving rise to his emerging sound, Austin-based singer and songwriter Miggy Milla delivers another dose of his confident and modern pop with ‘Toxic’. Taking the conventional pop formula and inviting a bold blend of euphoric electronic production gives this new track a fresh and anthemic feel that follows in the footsteps of artists like Billie Eilish and Years And Years.

KASPERG – ‘Good Right Here’
With heaps of praise arriving from BBC Radio 1, Rinse FM, DJ Mag, Mixmag, Crack Magazine, Martin Garrix, Rüfüs Du Sol, and Rudimental for his previous releases, Finnish DJ and producer KASPERG looks to continue that positive form with his new single ‘Good Right Here’. Featuring guest vocals from Kailaa, his latest slice of laid-back house fits perfectly over a backdrop of a setting sun, with its smooth and warming vibe throughout.

Macious – ‘Till Later’
Having already cracked out a number of exceptional new releases so far this year, including ‘Made’, ‘Lights’ and ‘Robots’, Manchester-based producer Mark Crawford aka Macious now caps off his 2019 with ‘Till Later’. With its bright and colourful aesthetic reaching throughout its six-minute runtime, he looks to follow in the footsteps of contemporaries such as Bonobo and Lapalux on this warm and breezy new groove.

Michael From The East – ‘That’s It’
Following on from the release of his much loved EP ‘F.T.E’, as well as a host of praise from the likes of The Source Magazine, and This Is 50, Harlem-based producer Michael From The East now continues his progressive RnB sound with the luxurious ‘That’s It’. As a chilled and optimistic ode to his partner, this new cut looks to kick off a flurry of new releases arriving from the artist throughout early next year.
