Violet Grae – ‘Let Me Be The Man’
Described as a humble cross between Billie Holiday and Nine Inch Nails, the thunderous yet soulful Violet Grae now ups the ante on her latest offering as she delivers her next single ‘Let Me Be The Man’. Juxtaposed between her sweeping voice and the harsh production, this new release taps into the aesthetic made popular by the likes of Frank Ocean and FKA Twigs as it looks to serenade and captivate in equal measure.
Written in remembrance of its co-writer and close friend of the band Lotte Van Den Berg, electronic trio Luna Pines look to deliver a far more humbled release as they return with ‘Uneven’. Taking influence from other artists such as The Japanese House and Bon Iver, the trio have channelled their signature slice of wistful dream-pop and reinvigorated it for this new single, delivering a smooth and ambient piece of hazy pop that is impossible to switch off.
As one of the most prolific producers working today, having already dropped 24 songs this year already, Unsecret now returns with their latest earworm in the form of ‘Joyride’. Recorded in collaboration with Australian singer Butterfly Boucher, the pair cook up an instantly catchy release. From its groove-filled opening riff to the pounding percussion, this new gem will have you tapping your feet throughout.
Saint Blonde – ‘Love Me Instead’
Originally formed as a side project in 2018, Saint Blonde quickly found themselves riding a wave of acclaim after the release of their debut single ‘Shy’ and now look to continue that form with the explosive new offering ‘Love Me Instead’. With comparisons to the likes of The 1975, the band’s electrifying indie-pop direction has been turning heads for the last few months and this new cut looks to be doing the same all over again.
Jordan Esker & The Hundred Percent – ‘Normalcy’
After months of touring and support for their stunning 2018 album ‘Fail To Learn’, Tampa-based four-piece Jordan Esker & The Hundred Percent now return to deliver another smaller collection of euphoric pop-rock with their new EP ‘Normalcy’. Featuring the previously unveiled singles ‘My Own Miserable’ and ‘Broken Soul’, the outfit bring their A-game on this new four-track collection, reminding us all about why they are quickly becoming one of Florida’s most intriguing artists.
