Every week ROUGH ONLINE in collaboration with Music News and Liberty Music Pr looks at the best new releases from emerging and self-releasing artists.

Spectoral – ‘Fade To Grey’
Having already conquered the new music scene on his own turf, Melbourne-based Spectoral is now looking to bring his fresh and vibrant sound to UK shores with his latest release ‘Fade To Grey’. Blending smooth and seductive RnB tones with a notable electro-pop aesthetic, his new jam is set to become one of your favourite new anthems of the summer.

River Styx – ‘Call Me Anytime’
With a strong and proud identity within the queer scene, rising LA-based artist River Styx is now looking to showcase the breadth of their talent with the sweeping new single ‘Call Me Anytime’. With its genre-bending aesthetic and heartfelt emotion running throughout, the new offering delivers a rich and textured return from an artist that is already producing so much quality already.

K I T – ‘Warm’
With influences stretching from everything between the 60s sound of The Yardbirds to the modern era of pop-rock such as The 1975, Liverpool’s K I T is looking to make his own distinct mark on the new music scene as he delivers his much-hyped debut single ‘Warm’. With a broad and bouncing feel that is only matched by its euphoric atmosphere, the future is already looking bright for this early upstart.

Red Shaydez – ‘They Call Me Shaydez’
Having already made serious moves in her career from an early co-sign with the legendary MC Lyte, Boston-born lyricist, filmmaker, public speaker and “queen of cool” Red Shaydez continues her positive ascent with the pounding ‘They Call Me Shaydez’. An almost autobiographical introduction to her sound, she delivers one blistering flow after another, backed up by a string of bold and pounding beats throughout.

Seafarers – ‘And Maybe I’m Scared’
With a sound that looks to merge the worlds of jazz, Celtic and folk music, London-based Seafarers look to make one of their most impactful returns to date as they unveil their latest gem ‘And Maybe I’m Scared’. Filled with a warm and inviting atmosphere that is reminiscent of Fleet Foxes, the outfit’s latest stunner swells and swoons in equal measure with its beautiful flow and rhythm.
