Having already received huge praise from the likes of NME, Clash and many more over the last few months, Stoke-On-Trent’s Average Joe
now returns with that loveable and distinctive northern charm on his latest single ‘Taxi’.
Following in the same soulful footsteps of artists such as Sleaford Mods and Mike Skinner, ‘Taxi’ is the funk-filled and laid-back return for an artist that never seems to have an off day. Taking in inspirations from his local surroundings and humble upbringing, this new release looks to act as a homage to the town in which he loves, filled with bluesy jazz flourishes and buckets of charismatic wit.
Speaking about his latest offering, he describes the track as, “A post heartbreak ode to alcohol’s soothing nature upon the bruised ego of a British male.”
