ROUGH: In "The Gleam Collection", you portrayed a sensation of timeless elegance through the metaphor of nature. Through the shapes and the design of each creation, we can experience a feeling of dynamism lead by simplicity. How does this concept reflect your brand?
EL BAZ:
This concept reflects how dynamic our brand is, as well as its ability to expand and grow into different models, styles and identities. Like various others, this concept and collection are just an austere portrayal of our ability to create jewellery pieces inspired by our surroundings. They are inspirations to those who wear them and an empowering tool through elegance, style and well-thought designs.
ROUGH: How has the brand changed since its foundation in 1923?
EL BAZ:
Over the years, we've significantly changed and keep changing the brand to meet the market's evolving expectations. Through the years, El-Baz Jewellery has grown, developed, and revolutionized its offering to meet the constantly increasing market's expectations and serve as many tastes and personas. However, it never changed its values and core beliefs or its focus to always pertain to its customer's rigid trust.
ROUGH: What was it like growing up with jewellery being such a large part of your family?
EL BAZ:
It was beyond amazing. Witnessing the passion grow within the family and understanding the business inside out is an ongoing experience that doesn't end or stop. Working in an industry that is continuously expanding in terms of designs and offerings is a challenge we face every day. Being part of a family with so much passion for the industry makes every day a new lesson. Growing with that passion only made me envision myself unfolding in this field and working harder on growing the business and making a difference in such an industry.
ROUGH: What should we expect from El-Baz Jewellery in the next few months?
EL BAZ: In the next few months, we will be expanding to new branches and countries. Along with constantly working on expanding our business by introducing a wider variety of products through unique collections. We will be launching our latest collection in the upcoming months. But our goal is always to be part of the change and revolutionizing the jewellery industry as a whole through developing our business and product offering.
